Exercise

The most exercise I have gotten recently is getting into my Spanx (seriuosly, that can be a real workout!)...I really need to get back to it, but between finding time and being sick lately, it has just fallen off my radar.

I know when spring comes around, it will be easier to incorporate being active in our family plans with bike rides, playing outside, going for walks...but by then, well I will have missed some valuable time to try to lose some pounds. I need to get with it!

I have almost decided - and I am only posting here because almost no one reads this at all - actually it may just be my online journal with no readers...but that if I can lose 20lbs, then I will schedule my consultation with a surgeon to discuss my breast reduction and tummy tuck (my own mommy makeover).

I have been putting it off forever. I have needed and wanted a reduction since high school, but at one point, I spoke to a dr about it, and did my research and decided to wait until after children (for nursing reasons mainly)...so, lately I have been just putting it off in hopes that I will be able to have one more child....that isn't looking likely at this point. But, for both surgeries, I need to be at a reasonable weight to have them....partially for insurance reasons (insurance will typically cover part of the reduction if you are w/in a % of your ideal weight AND have a minimum volume removed - although, I am not sure our current ins has ANY coverage for reductions...so another reason to wait :)

But overall, if you lose or gain a significant amount of weight after your surgery, it will impact the results. At some point, though, you have to stop waiting and just do it. I know it would help me in any case (at any weight)....I basically have no torso at this point...but with a reduction/lift and tuck, I would instantly have one! Plus, I would be rid of all the issues (back and shoulder mainly, but many really). I just need to do it!

Of course, there is the issue with fitting in a surgery...I will need David around long enough to help out w/the boys...and I will need recovery time. Without my mom around to help...it will be more difficult to pull off.

Anyway, I want it bad enough...so, I will have to make it happen. The money is likely all there for it....I have been saving for years for it...I started an account for it right out of college....I don't have an exact amount, but I have most and possibly all of the money in place...so, that is the biggest issue for most people. Not sure what my deal is!
